and tell me why?

Most overrated and underrated player in NBA history?nba jerseys

overated will be Scottie Pippen...this man should say this words" Thank you very much Michael".. scottie can't be a popular player without MJ..when he was in the Portland oh'men.. he realy needs players like MJ he can't prove his worth w/out a guy like Jordan in his side.....

most underrated? c-webb... hmmn.. this guy is one of the best big man who make his own shot, rebound, block, steal, and above all for me his one of the best big man who can pass the ball..specially.."behind the back".. and he knows how to adjust in his game... that knee injury which really slow him down he knows he can't run fast.., he made his adjustment.. he post, look for the open man,, and pass it,,"sick pass" this man got range also... but unlucky guy. bec.didn't won any ring, and his going to retire tomorow I think..

also rip hamilton, elton brand...

Most overrated and underrated player in NBA history?nba 2k8 ,nba teams

Overrated NBA Player: None, reason, if your in the NBA your worth something.

Underrated: EZ,

Pistol Pete

Nate Thurmund
overraterd i'd say Jabbar. he ha a great team around him every year and he wasn't a factor at center. underrated that's easy, Pete Maravich. he played on a bad teams like the hawks and the jazz. here are some stats that i like to throw at you all. He averaged 23.2 points per game his rookie season. After being traded to the jazz, he led the NBA in scoring in the 1976-77 with 31.1 points per game. His NBA single game high, a 68-point explosion vs. the knicks.
Michael jordan... cause he rules XD
The most overrated player is definately Pau Gasol. I really do not get why he is thought to be one of the elite centers in the league... he's more like a "michael olowokandi level" level center. He's a good average player, i would say as skillful as big Z from Cleveland. but not a superstar as he's mentioned everywhere.

The most underrated player is Rip Hamilton. He's a marvellous offensive player. maybe the best off-screen-sharp-shooter and the best player in moving without ball, creating easy opportunities for himself.
Overrated - andrew bynum - what does he has done so far for the Lakers? Nothing yet, coz all he has done so far is watching from the sidelines due to his injury.

Last season's career of Bynum was a mess, which Kobe even asked Mitch Kupcake to trade Bynum with Kidd.

Underrated - Capt. Jack, he's been the heart and soul of the Warriors and yet he isn't given the star status which Baron is receiving.
Overrated, I would have to say scottie pippen. he was good better than most in fact but at the same time he would have no where near the recoginition or accolades with out being the 2nd guy behind jordan.

Underrated, alonzo mourning...before his kidney problems took away from his game. he had power, tremendous presence in the paint (on offense %26amp; defense) a better mid range game than almost anyone bigger than a SF. Altered shots, blocks, rebounds, and intimidation. In the 90's he would go toe to toe with anyone (Shaq, Ewing, Robinson, Hakeem), didn't matter who. If you check head to head stats against those other premier centers in their prime, you'll most likely be shocked.
I'd have to say Allen Iverson is a bit overrated.

Why? He just isn't a high qaulity player. He's a better player now with Denver, but for most of his career in Philly he shot 40% and turned the ball over 4 times a game. Your leading scorer and ball handler should not be so careless with the ball and such a poor shooter.

Underrated is Shawn Marion. He gives you a little bit of everything. He's a great scorer and defender, and you don't have to run a play for him and he still gets15-20 points a game, 10 rebounds, and a couple blocks or steals. He's also a 50% shooter usually, and 80% from the foul line. His career numbers though 9 seasons are 18 points and 10 rebounds a game.
Overrated ... Carmelo Anthony

Underrated ... Buck Williams
